“Dad, I almost cycled into a ditch this afternoon.” That sentence is why BikeLock exists.
BikeLock notices that the phone is on a bike and locks the apps that parent and child picked together. On arrival they open again. Nobody has to press anything, and maps, music and calls keep working.

Agreed on together
Onboarding is written for a parent and child sitting next to each other. It explains in plain language what happens, asks for Screen Time access, and lets them choose the distracting apps together in Apple's own picker.
Measured on the road
Most of the work happened outside. Core Motion turned out too erratic to trust, so GPS speed is the only detector. Region monitoring brings the app back after it has been swiped away or the phone rebooted. Both were measured on real rides, not assumed.
A debug tab shows the live signals and a JSONL log records every state change, so each threshold could be tuned with evidence. The screenshots below come from a simulated ride.
