Capel & Capel is a family-run fine art dealership in Kampen, founded in 1902 and now in its fourth generation. They deal in Dutch Old Master paintings, 19th-century paintings, Oriental ceramics and antique furniture.

The collection, front and centre
A plain PHP router with templates, no framework and no build step, so pages are fast. In a small admin area the gallery manages artworks, images, prices and artist pages itself, and sends new arrivals out as a newsletter.

Much of the work went into findability. Every artwork and artist carries structured data with RKD and Wikipedia references, images are listed in image sitemaps, fonts are self-hosted, and an llms.txt tells AI assistants what the gallery is and where to find it.
