A new website for the basketball club in Roden
Flying Red is the basketball club in Roden. Its website had grown for years as procedural PHP 5.6 on shared hosting.
The new site is a Symfony application with a bold design: news, fixtures, standings and results, teams with training times, and all the club information members look for.

Club news and match days
Fixtures, standings and results are grouped per competition. Every team has its own page with the squad photo and training schedule.
A migration you can repeat
Content from the old database is brought over by an idempotent import command, so the switch-over can be rehearsed as often as needed. Loose page texts moved out of controllers into editable content blocks, and the admin area is built on EasyAdmin with roles for editors, administrators and the treasurer's archive.
The preview runs on Railway while the data stays at the club's existing host. Playwright end-to-end tests guard the public pages.
